SAFEGUARDING
Our prime responsibility is the welfare and wellbeing of children in our care. At Jingle Jungle Nursery we have a duty to the children, parents/carers and staff to act quickly and responsibly in any instance that may come to our attention. All staff will work as part of a multi‐agency team where needed in the best interest of the child.
As it is our duty of care to ensure every child within our setting is safeguarded and safe in and out of their learning environment, our setting will work with children, parents and the community to ensure the rights and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life.

QUALITY OF CARE
We take pride in the level of care we give to every child that attends our setting.
It is paramount that every child is made to feel safe, secure and confident in their learning environment.
To ensure this is achieved we make sure every child is given a key worker and their key worker also has a key buddy.
The Role Of A Key Worker:
-
Will settle the child into the nursery.
-
Is primarily responsible for ensuring the child’s needs, interests and development are met.
-
Will inform others who will be in contact with the child what the needs, interests and development requirements are.
-
Will record observations, do individual planning and set SMART targets for each of their key children to promote an understanding of the child’s learning and development in line with the EYFS.
-
Will share information with others to ensure the child is developing appropriately.
-
Will feed back information on the child to parents as appropriate or inform others to do so.
Key Workers do not exclusively work with their named key children. All staff will be working with all children at some point throughout the working day therefore, all staff are responsible for the care and well being of all the children who attend this nursery.
